🧢 About John

Hi, I’m John Boxley—a former Emmy Award-winning NBC News producer.

For more than 30 years, I covered some of the biggest stories—from war zones and presidential elections to natural disasters and Olympic Games.

But long before breaking news and live shots, I was just a kid from Anaheim, California, chasing big-league dreams on dusty Little League fields.

Those big-league dreams may not have come true, but baseball has remained a part of my life for over 50 years.

After retiring from the news business, I launched Box-Seats.com to share a lifetime of baseball passion and perspective—with stories, tips, gear reviews, and moments that remind us why we love the game.

Whether you’ve got a Little Leaguer pitching this weekend, you’re a coach hunting for the perfect drill, or simply someone who still remembers that first ballgame with a smile—this site is for you.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to witness some legendary moments:
⚾ Nolan Ryan’s 100-mph heat in ’74
⚾ Fernandomania taking over L.A. in ’81
⚾ Barry Bonds rewriting history in 2007

Columnist George Will once said:
“Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.”

Welcome to Box-Seats.com
